Hey everybody. I just wanted to provide everyone with a brief overview of the nonprofit. My name is David. I began cooking at the age of fourteen. In 2003, I was diagnosed with kidney failure, and in 2008, I started on dialysis. Became a kidney recipient in April of 2012.
As a kidney recipient, I would like to give back and help people on dialysis find creative ways to enjoy the food that a dialysis diet typically limits. Not to say that my recipes will be ultimately potassium-, phosphorus-, and sodium-free, but they will be significantly reduced, with hints and suggestions on how to keep yourself out of danger. The recipes are written by a chef, not a dietitian or nutritionist, so please consult your doctor if you are unsure about anything in the recipes.
